HONG KONG – An exhibition of exquisite pieces defining French fashion from the late 18th to early 20th centuries will kick off on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Palace Museum in West Kowloon Cultural District.

TitledThe Adorned Body: French Fashion and Jewellery 1770–1910 from the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris”, the exhibition, running through Oct 14, showcases nearly 400 pieces, including garments, accessories, and jewelry spanning over a century of French fashion history. These pieces reflect the evolution of fashion in the country and highlight the dynamic interplay of cultural influences that shaped it.

The Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, is renowned for its vast collection of decorative arts, including fashion and jewelry. This exhibition marks the debut of the prestigious Paris museum’s most comprehensive collection of historical French fashion in Asia.
