GUANGZHOU - The Gomphrena globosa, also known as globe amaranth, is now in full bloom at Hongcheng Park on Ersha Island in Guangzhou, creating a field of purple that has drawn wide public interest. 

The blooming season has made the park a prime location for visitors and photographers.
