Businesses from across globe flock to Shanghai to take part in flagship import event

This week, we are highlighting the seventh China International Import Expo held in Shanghai.
From Tuesday to Sunday, the seventh China International Import Expo was held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
The expo featured over 40 promotional activities and 50 investment promotion events, attracting nearly 2,500 domestic buyers and close to 1,000 overseas exhibitors to engage in negotiations and build up connections. Nearly 800 purchasing groups from various countries participated in the expo, marking a record high in attendance compared to previous years.
At the China Europe CEO Summit, nearly 600 business leaders from companies including many Fortune 500 enterprises discussed topics such as artificial intelligence and digital transformation. They reached multiple cooperation agreements in areas such as green and low-carbon initiatives.

This year's CIIE also showcased over 40 new products, technologies and services spanning fields such as medical devices and consumer goods, highlighting the latest innovations in various industries.
The CIIE has been held annually since 2018 and is the world's first national-level exhibition themed around imports. It has evolved into a flagship event for China to build a new development pattern with new and existing partners and a platform to promote high-level opening-up.
