Hong Kong - The Hong Kong Museum of History has received a donation of over 24,000 Chinese photographs from the Moonchu Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving Chinese cultural heritage through donations and partnerships with cultural institutions worldwide.
Taken between the mid-19th and early 20th centuries, the photo collection offers rare visual documentation of Chinese culture and history.
The organizers hope the photographs will contribute to a deeper public understanding of traditional Chinese culture and the development of modern China.
The exhibition runs through Feb 3, 2025.
China Daily's Andy Chong took the photos on Tuesday.
