GBA green forum, eMPF launch, French fashion from past century

Hong Kong is holding the 2nd Greater Bay Area Low Carbon and Green Development Forum from June 21 to 23, to shape a sustainable future for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Leading experts will be invited to share their insights on how to achieve net zero carbon emission through joint efforts, new ESG technologies, outstanding ESG corporates sharing, recycling and upcycling etc.

eMPF launch

A standardized, streamlined, and automated administration platform designed for the MPF scheme – eMPF – will be launched on June 26.

MPF trustees YF Life Trustees and China Life Trustees will get on board the eMPF platform firstly and secondly on June 26 and July 29, while the remaining MPF schemes are expected to complete onboarding the platform by the end of 2025.

Along with the onboarding process, the current MPF systems administered by trustees will be gradually replaced by the platform.

Past-century French fashion

The Hong Kong Palace Museum will host the "French Fashion over the Past Century" exhibition from June 26, showcasing nearly 400 exquisite clothing and jewelry collections from the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.

Many of the 18th to early 20th century artifacts will be exhibited outside France for the first time to celebrate the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations.

Highlights include an 18th-century French aristocratic court dress, a Charles Frederick Worth design from 1885, and late 19th-century naturalistic jewelry.
