The two countries should give full play to their advantages of geographical proximity, cultural affinity and economic integration to strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation, Xi said. By doing so, they will bring more benefits to their peoples and make greater contributions to regional peace, stability, development and prosperity, he added.
Xi emphasized that the two nations should strengthen high-level exchanges, enhance understanding and trust, and strive to facilitate each other's achievements for common development.
He told Yoon that as China is committed to expanding high-level opening-up, it welcomes more enterprises from the ROK to invest and conduct business in the country.
Yoon lauded China as an important engine of global economic growth, saying that the country has made significant contributions to addressing issues faced by the world.
The ROK considers China its crucial cooperative partner and hopes to develop bilateral ties on the basis of mutual respect, thereby promoting regional peace and stability, he said.
Yoon added that his country remains committed to respecting the one-China principle, and expressed the hope of being involved in China's modernization drive.
China seeks to further enhance strategic partnership with Chile
President Xi Jinping underlined on Friday China's readiness to deepen strategic communication, enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and share development opportunities with Chile, as the two countries are set to mark the 55th anniversary of their diplomatic ties next year.
During talks with Chilean President Gabriel Boric in Lima, Xi called for greater progress in the China-Chile comprehensive strategic partnership to deliver more benefits to both peoples.
Xi said that both nations have consistently supported each other on core interests and major concerns for more than 50 years.
He emphasized the need for both sides to adhere to mutual respect, trust and reciprocity. He also called for expanded cooperation in infrastructure, clean energy, and information and communication technologies, as well as for advancing bilateral collaboration through high-standard free trade and more open industrial policies.
Xi said that China welcomes more high-quality Chilean products into the nation's market, and will encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest in Chile. The goal is to jointly build an open, dynamic, resilient and peaceful Asia-Pacific community, he said.
Boric lauded the strong ties between Chile and China, highlighting the two countries' fruitful economic and trade collaboration. He emphasized the significance of continued development of bilateral relations against the backdrop of the current international climate, reaffirmed Chile's commitment to the one-China principle, and expressed eagerness to deepen exchanges in culture and education.
The Chilean president welcomed greater Chinese investment in Chile's infrastructure and industrial sectors. He also expressed hope for closer communication with China.
Progress made with Thailand in various sectors praised
President Xi Jinping commended on Friday the progress of China-Thailand cooperation across various sectors since his visit to the Southeast Asian country two years ago, saying that China is willing to push for greater progress in bilateral ties on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year.
Xi made the remarks when meeting with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra on the sidelines of the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
It was a delight to see the outcomes of the visit in 2022 being effectively implemented, with bilateral cooperation making positive progress across various fields and bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples, Xi said.
Xi said China stands ready to work with Thailand to carry forward the traditional friendship, strengthen the alignment of development strategies, deepen exchanges on governance experience, to push forward the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future.
He called on the two countries to enhance cultural, educational, and youth exchanges, and organize such events as the enshrinement of the Buddha tooth relic in Thailand.
For her part, Paetongtarn said the world and the region are currently witnessing increasing turmoil, and the series of global initiatives put forward by China are strategically forward-looking and conducive to strengthening international solidarity and cooperation.
Thailand hopes to learn from China's successful development experiences, advance cooperation on the Thailand-China Railway and other Belt and Road cooperation projects, and strengthen cultural and people-to-people exchanges, she said.
Forging ahead with Singapore on road of modernization
President Xi Jinping said on Friday that China is willing to keep marching forward hand in hand on the road of modernization with Singapore and open a new chapter of high-quality development as both countries are at a critical stage of national development.
Xi made the remarks in a meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. It was their first meeting since Wong became the country's prime minister in May.
Noting that China and Singapore are friendly neighbors and important cooperative partners, Xi said that bilateral ties have continued to grow and are a good example of mutual benefit and common development.
Last year, the elevation of bilateral ties into an all-around, high-quality, future-oriented partnership charted the course for the development of China-Singapore relations, he said.
As next year will mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Xi said the Chinese side is ready to work with Singapore to intensify high-level exchanges, adhere to honesty and mutual trust, and respect each other's core interests.
Xi said that China welcomes Singapore — whose participation in China's reform and opening-up started early and has yielded fruitful results in a wide range of areas — to seize the new opportunities of the country's development.
Wong said that Singapore-China relations are based on mutual respect and trust and feature mutual benefit. He said that his country has always been fully confident in the prospects of China's economic development and looks forward to further participating in its modernization process.
He also said that Singapore firmly abides by the one-China principle.
Common ground highlighted for ties with New Zealand
President Xi Jinping called on Friday for building a China-New Zealand relationship characterized by mutual respect and mutual accommodation with focus on cooperation for shared growth during a meeting with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon in Lima, Peru.
He emphasized that both China and New Zealand are important members of the Asia-Pacific region, with their economies strongly complementary and mutually beneficial.
Noting that the two countries have no historical grievances or conflicts of fundamental interests, Xi said they should view each other as an opportunity and a partner, rather than a challenge or a threat. Both sides should manage their differences in a calm and pragmatic manner, rather than letting differences define their relationship, he added.
Xi recalled his state visit to New Zealand in 2014, when the two countries decided to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership. Over the past decade, China-New Zealand relations have maintained the momentum of healthy and stable development and effectively enhanced the well-being of the two peoples, which is worth cherishing, he said. Xi emphasized China's support for various sectors of both countries, including local governments, youth, media and scholars, to strengthen exchanges between the two peoples.
China already has included New Zealand in its visa-free policy, welcoming more New Zealand friends to work and travel in China, he said.
Luxon said that New Zealand is committed to continuously deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership with China and that it firmly adheres to the one-China principle. New Zealand is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with China within multilateral mechanisms, he said.
'Correct perception' sought for Sino-Japanese relationship
The China-Japan relationship is at a critical phase for its improvement and development, President Xi Jinping said in his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Peru's Lima on Friday.
Xi voiced his hope that Tokyo will work with Beijing to "establish correct perception of each other "and stay committed to the right direction of the relations from a strategic height and global perspective.
Japan should translate the important political consensus reached by the two sides into concrete policies and practical actions, properly handle major, fundamental matters such as the history issue and the Taiwan question, and constructively manage differences, he added. The two sides should deepen and expand cultural and subnational exchanges to promote mutual understanding between the two peoples, he said.
The economic interests, production and supply chains of China and Japan are deeply intertwined, and the two sides should defend the global free trade system, said the president.

For his part, Ishiba said it is of great significance for both nations to work together to fully advance the Japan-China strategic and mutually beneficial relationship and build a constructive and stable Japan-China relationship.
On the Taiwan question, Japan's position of adhering to the Japan-China Joint Communique in 1972 has not changed at all, he said.
Japan sticks to the principles and consensus established in the four key Japan-China political documents, adheres to the path of peaceful development, and is willing to engage in candid dialogues with China, said the prime minister.
