MANAMA - China has to take no less than one point from their encounter with Bahrain to keep alive its chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, said Chinese midfielder Wei Shihao on Wednesday.
The Chinese side, which sits bottom of Group C with three points after four matches, will on Thursday take on Bahrain, which has collected five points.

"I think whether we play at home or away, we need to win points from games against teams like Bahrain. Only in this way can we have the chances of progressing to the finals," he said.
China's goalkeeper Wang Dalei echoed Wei's view, saying the Chinese players have to put their best foot forward in the Bahrain game.
