HONG KONG – The tickets for the gala show and sports demonstrations of Chinese mainland Olympians who will be visiting Hong Kong from Aug 29 to 31 have been sold out, the city's Leisure and Cultural Services Department said Thursday.

The tickets for three scheduled events of the  Paris 2024 Olympic Games Mainland Olympians Delegation were made available at 10 am via URBTIX on Thursday, but in a statement posted online at 10:46 am, the LCSD said all the tickets have been taken.

“The response from the public was enthusiastic, and all tickets have been sold out,” the statement reads.

A spokesman for the LCSD thanked the public for their support and reminded them that there will be no ticket collection service at the venues on the event day. Ticket holders must collect their tickets at URBTIX outlets or from self-service ticketing kiosks on or before August 30.

The mainland athletes will attend the “Gala Show by Mainland Olympians” at Queen Elizabeth Stadium on the evening of August 30.

They will also take part in the “Sports Demonstrations by Mainland Olympians” in two groups in the morning of August 31, with one showcasing sporting skills in badminton, gymnastics and table tennis at Queen Elizabeth Stadium, and the other doing diving and swimming performances at Victoria Park Swimming Pool.
