This summer, Pakistan experienced record-breaking temperatures of up to 52°C. The extreme heat caused heatstroke, fatalities, and reduced crop yields. Lam Hon-ming, a leading soybean expert from Hong Kong, traveled to Pakistan to help farmers develop new soybean varieties. Despite enduring scorching heat, long journeys, sandstorms, and rough rides, this adventure resulted in higher-yielding seeds and fostered mutual goodwill between the people of China and Pakistan.
