With a wide range of activities and attractions planned for the Labour Day “golden week” holiday, Hong Kong welcomed some 43,000 tourists from the Chinese mainland, as of 10 am on Wednesday.

Despite the stormy weather and rain, visitors were seen moving around the city during the holiday.

With the weather improving in the afternoon, a large number of tourists started thronging seaside areas and other popular tourist spots, including famous shops and places for social media check-ins, museums, and the Star Ferry.

China Daily’s Edmond Tang took the photos at different parts of the city on Wednesday.
